The language of instruction at the MHB is German, without exception. This is why a good basic knowledge of German (level B2/Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is essential, not least for early and regular patient contacts. The MHB does not organize German language courses, due to the low demand. But you have a number of options to learn German, or other languages for a study period abroad.
Students of several different nationalities are registered at the MHB. We want to make the best possible use of this cultural and mental diversity. The idea behind the tandem project is to bring two students with different mother tongues together. Since the majority of our students are German, applicants from abroad will easily find a tandem partner who can not only assist with the language but act as a mentor as well. Our Section International will help you to find a suitable partner and arrange the first contact. From then on the tandem partners are absolutely free to decide on form and details of the partnership.
If you are interested to meet such a tandem partner, not only for a stay abroad, then please send us an email with the following information:
- mother tongue
- target language
- Email address
- phone number
We will then give you contact details of potential tandem partners.
