Integrated Working Group "Mental Health Policy & Digitalization"
The integrated working group “Mental Health Policy & Digitalization” combines approaches of health system research and digitalization in the field of mental health. Overarching research questions:
-
Which conditions are required in the health system to facilitate equitable, consistent, needs-oriented and integrated mental health care?
-
How can telemedicine contribute to this?
A critical assessment of digitalization and economization is sought with the aim of developing concepts, models and applications for sustainable recovery-oriented psychiatric health care. Strategies used in demand planning, (organization-specific) health services research, health system research and health policy analyses are applied to answer the above questions. The team uses qualitative (including multi-stakeholder analyses) and quantitative methods (analyses of secondary and routine data, effectiveness and efficiency analyses). Participatory Digital Health approaches facilitate close collaboration with the IAG Mental Health.
The IAG is a member of various national and international research networks, including the German Network of Health Services Research (DNVF), the European Network For Mental Health Service Evaluation (ENMESH), and the Health Data Program (HEDA).
