Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Prof. h.c. Dr. h.c .Christos C. Zouboulis, Professor für Dermatologie, Venerologie und Allergologie an der Medizinischen Hochschule Brandenburg Theodor Fontane (MHB) und Chefarzt am Städtischen Klinikum Dessau, ist für seine umfangreiche, sowohl nationale als auch internationale Begutachtungstätigkeit mit dem Publons Peer Review Award 2017 ausgezeichnet worden. In dem im September 2017 veröffentlichten Ranking belegt er im Bereich der Begutachtung wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen weltweit den 68. Platz. Betrachtet man nur die Teilnehmenden aus Deutschland, belegt Prof. Zouboulis sogar einen noch besseren 13. Rang. Im Bereich der Medizin gehört Zouboulis damit zu dem besten 1 Prozent aller Peer Reviewer.

Prof. Christos C. Zouboulis is himself a scientist of international renown. In addition to his duties at MHB and the Dessau clinics he is active in professional societies and in dermatological research; the latter includes exploration of rare skin diseases. Numerous awards confirm the success of his many initiatives. The Association of French Dermatologists recently made him an honorary member, and he was elected to the board of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology.
Dr. Joachim Zagrodnick, medical director of the Dessau clinics, mentioned the appointment of Zouboulis to the MHB chair as one of the highlights in his career, and also pointed to his on-going contributions to the European Reference Network for Rare and Complex Skin Diseases (ERN-Skin). He expressed pride in having him at the Dessau clinics and promised support for all the award-winner’s activities.
