Second Life garments: MHB hand-out system yields 120 Euro for charity
Neuruppin, 1 July 2026
Second-hand workwear was once again handed out for free to students of the Brandenburg Medical School (MHB) on the campus Neuruppin on 27 May 2026. The Sitex company invited them to choose garments such as gowns, tunics and pants on the premises of the university hospital Ruppin-Brandenburg (ukrb) between 9 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.
The MHB promotes sustainability and conservation of resources with the regular event. Second-hand workwear may, e.g. be used for practical training periods or OSCE exams. The concept saves students the costs of additional professional clothing and prevents the need for disposal.
The hand-out event was again used to raise donations for charity and yielded a total of 120 Euro. This semester, the sum goes to Lebensräume Neuruppin, a facility for the social and professional integration of individuals with disabilities. The plan is to invite its residents to the wildlife park Kunsterspring. A donation link was offered for further contributions.
The hand-out campaign was once again well received by a large number of students. The event – in line with the MHB spirit - combines sustainable action with social commitment and practical support in everyday student life.
