MHB, THB and UKB start Health Hackathon Brandenburg

Joint initiative to shape innovation: The Brandenburg Medical School (MHB), the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (THB) and the university hospital in Brandenburg an der Havel host a first jointly organized Health Hackathon Brandenburg on 9 and 10 October 2025. The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs has taken on the patronage for the interdisciplinary event.
The idea is to develop creative digital and practice-based solutions to specific challenges in healthcare in a short time. Students will form teams with experts from medicine, IT, technology, business and academia to address so called challenges from daily routines in clinics and universities.
Topics range from telemedical follow-up care, intuitive clinic navigation and safe logistics to sustainable care processes and innovative concepts for resource usage in the day-to-day routine in hospitals. Another focus is on the well-being of employees and efficient, digitally supported work processes. An expert jury is going to select and honor the best ideas which might be given a chance to be turned into pilot projects.
The orga team aims to bring people with different kinds of knowhow together who are expected to jointly develop solutions to improve healthcare.
The THB campus in Brandenburg an der Havel will host the event. Participation is free of charge. Registration is now open.
