MBH publishes activity report 2023/24
Neuruppin, 4 Dezember 2024
The Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB) has published its activity report 2023/24. The summary for the period in question is positive. An important event was the successful accreditation by the Federal Government’s Science Council. Further important milestones followed:
- Start of the Brandenburg Model Curriculum Dental Medicine in Brandenburg an der Havel: A new program with 48 beginners to be trained as dentists – the first in the State of Brandenburg.
- Introduction of the Bachelor program Psychology in hybrid format: An innovative form of education based on experience won during the Corona pandemic.
- Expansion of cooperations: More intensive collaboration with other universities and institutions in the field of health sciences, and specifically with the joint Faculty of Health Sciences.
- Start of the PatientenUniversität Brandenburg: A project that aims to reinforce health competences in the general population.
Long-term financing for the MHB remains a challenging issue, specifically for the joint Faculty of Health Sciences and for medical research. In 2024, the MHB was able to strengthen its position as a young and dynamic university and establish itself as a major actor in Brandenburg’s health system.
