Diversity makes us strong: Brandenburg Medical School stands for social cohesion
Neuruppin, 27 March 2024
The Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB) is colorful and diverse – and this is precisely our strength! The MHB has already joined several initiatives proclaiming tolerance; examples are "Kein Platz für Rassismus" (no place for racism) and "Brandenburg zeigt Haltung" (Brandenburg takes a stance). This is why we now also support the diversity campaign “#Zusammenland – Vielfalt macht uns stark” (a word play on Deutschland and sticking together) which fights right-wing extremism and stands up for an open-minded, democratic and tolerant Germany.
Initiated by the renowned publishing houses ZEIT, Handelsblatt, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tagesspiegel, WirtschaftsWoche and Ströer, about 500 companies, foundations, NGOs and associations have joined forces to set a clear statement against right-wing extremism. All participants are agreed that “open-mindedness, respect and cohesion are values which make Germany not only a country worth living in but also a strong economy. This is why we stand together for an open country that faces challenges with courage.”
We jointly set a sign for:
- openness to the world
- democracy
- diversity
- a welcoming culture
- a strong high-quality community life - #Zusammenland
The MHB is committed to these values and joined the initiative this month. Our message is prominently displayed in renowned newspapers and in the public space.

We invite you to support the #initiative and share the message of solidarity and cohesion.
