Brandenburg an der Havel/Neuruppin, 24 January 2019
The Skills Lab at the Brandenburg Medical School (MHB) will host the 14th International Skills Lab Symposium (iSLS 2019) on the campuses Brandenburg and Neuruppin on 29 and 30 March 2019.
Dr. Susen Schulze who is in charge of the MHB Skills Lab is pleased to include both campus locations in the organization: the LuK (Teaching and Communication Centre) in Neuruppin and the BLiTZ (Brandenburg Centre for Learning and Interdisciplinary Training) in Brandenburg an der Havel. “The symposium starts in Brandenburg a. d. Havel, and the first day concludes with the social evening at the cultural centre Kulturkirche in Neuruppin, where the meeting will continue on the second day.
What makes us happy and also proud is the fact that both our Skills Labs were certified by the German Association for Medical Education GMA in March 2018. Accreditation procedures and the audit demonstrated that our concept meets, and in some respects even surpasses, the high GMA requirements. The certificate will be officially handed over at the opening ceremony in Brandenburg (Rolandsaal) on 29 March at 1 p.m. Interested individuals are invited to attend our symposium as an opportunity to support practice-oriented medical education and scientific exchange.”
Details of educational research and practice will be presented, tutors will exchange information, and there will be meetings for Skills Lab directors and GMA committees on practical skills and simulation patients. Participants are physicians and tutors from Skills Labs of medical schools in the German-speaking area as well as from Hungary and Slovenia. The organizers expect around 20 participants.
For official registration and further information see https://www.mhb-fontane.de/iSLS2019.html.
The definitive programme depends on entries submitted and will be ready by the end of February. Registered participants can then sign up for workshops.
